The shop! card can usually be combined with cash.  However, before you start your shopping it’s wise to check with the retail sales associate and ask if split transaction can be accommodated.  Some stores cannot split purchases between the shop! card and credit or debit cards.  In this case if the shop! card balance is less than the total purchase you’ll be asked to pay the difference in cash.

Depending on the retailer's return policy, you may receive a store credit, or where permitted, a refund on merchandise returns can be credited to the shop! card.  However it can take up to seven business days before the credit appears on your shop! card.

No, they do not have an expiry date.  However, if there is a remaining balance on the card after 16 months -- or after 16 months of non-use in New Brunswick -- a $2.50 monthly account maintenance fee will be assessed.  For a three month extension cardholders must call 1-800-840-5604 in the 15th month after purchase. If your shop! card carries a balance after the magnetic stripe has expired -- usually after 36 months which is similar to a credit card -- a replacement card can be issued by Guest Services at any participating Cadillac Fairview shopping centre.
